Just A Thought

There are soo many reasons why we should give up. Soooo many reasons why we can just let go. We would be more comfortable if we didnt have to just take up the stress of pushing till we get to where we want to.

Imagine you didn't have to go to work but the money came in all the same... in large sums too.

Its sooo much easier to sit here in your comfortable place and let someone else do the driving. I know, the end of your dream is sweet but, boy! This work is killing me!

I sat at the back in church today, kinda sad, kinda feeling like i was loosing all the hope i had. Life sucks when you remove your "faith glasses" and look around. It's hard and its frustrating! I really have alot of things on my mind that i'd like to do but i felt like i was pushing but everyone and everything else was raising a barricade. I actually decided to stop disturbing myself about them. Its so much easier to just leave things the way they are and just blend in with the norm. Must i be different sef? Is it only me that wants more?! Abeg! Give me a break jo! lol! yeah... right!

I could actually feel the comfort coming on me if i just let go of my principles or my drives... urgghhh! It was soooo tempting! But then, i thought about it.
I heard a message 9 years ago in Abuja, it was one of my first days in theHouse on the Rock church. Interesting service! The pastor said, in my own words, "God is not looking for someone who can do what everyother person can do. That's just plain boring! God is looking for someone that is willing to take Him by His words and do extraordinary things so that when people look at the person they will be marvelled and say "this must be God'. You are special. You are made for more than this. Expand your horizons. Dream big! God said He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above what you can ask, think or imagine; so why don't you think BIG and God will beat you to it. Think OUTRAGEOUSLY and He will still beat you to it. So maybe it's time for you to sleep again. Sleep, and dream again". Isn't that just classic!?

The protocols of life wont pause and give way to you to accomplish that big dream if you are not fully persuaded and eaten up by your vision. NOTHING IN LIFE IS FAIR so you have to look for something to bypass all that unfairness. I mean, i want what i want. But so does everyone else?! And it's still not everyone else that get's what they want!

So what do we do?

Great faith is necessary to cause a great change... not little faith. Don't get discouraged when your plans don't work out or the people you even seem to be doing it for don't appreciate the effort or even try to help. You really... really... don't need them to. If it's still a desire in your heart then you are still on an assignment. If their fire is dead, yours doesn't have to be too. Be careful not to equate yourself with other people who seem to be "like" you. That won't do.

And if things seem to be spinning out of your control and falling apart, just close your eyes, take a deep breath to calm your inner man, shut off all the voices in your head and say, "for all things are woking together for my good" and believe it. There's really a big difference between just saying it and being fully persuaded about what you are saying.

I read a book today about a guy, Pastor Goodheart Obi C. Ekwueme, and the writing on the wall clearly said "he pushed..." he was fully persuaded about the hand of God on his life. As a result of that, he was able to keep his head up so many times when he was faced with challenges leading the church. He was fully persuaded about who he was. Are you?

Do not get frustrated. Take a deep breath. Time and chance happens to them all right? Well, i remember certain sons of Isacchar who had knowledge of times and seasons... for that reason all men followed them. They followed them only because when you know the times and seasons to do what you want, your decisions are secure and can't fail. But if it seems like they do..."for all things are working together for my good". Do you know why? Because a man working under authority is always covered by his boss. His boss is always vicariously liable for him as long as he is working in the scope of his duty. Jesus is vicariously liable for you, just keep to His instruction for the seasons of your life. It will... surely... it will work out for your good.
