Dont let anyone fool you, job hunting is a job!

For two and half years i lived on Career websites, sent numerous "introduction" emails, stalked recruiters and "updated" my cv.

I was looking for a new job -the right job that would move my career forward. And dear LinkedIn was my addiction - always sculpting my page to appeal to the right kind of recruiters, always checking for new job posts and adding all the profiles with "recruiter" in their JD.

I finally saw a post by a recruiter trying to fill an urgent opening for an "architectural technologist and contract administrator" in an architectural and design firm so i applied... and i got in! By the way, i am a lawyer with absolutely no knowledge on architecture! I was honestly excited, but as resumption day approached, i was filled with fear and dread.

Architecture? Wait... How did i even get this job (sarcasm)? What if i cant deliver? Is this really the right move? Do i need to do some sort of study on architectural technology?

Lesson: When you are desperate, you will settle for anything.
