I hear working with a female boss is always difficult because they tend to get emotional about everything.
This will be my first time working with one and yesterday, I would have been proud to say that it had been a full month without seeing any trace of my team leader being emotional. Today she had to come and spoil it.
As if flirting with Mr. Olusesan on Monday wasnt enough, today - Wednesday, she called me into her office for a private meeting. Then she started to say-
"You know I will rely on you alot from now on, so you better get you act together. Dont worry about Shade; she does not come from a good background like you and i, so she feels the need to use her years of experience in the company to rub shoulders with us. What university did she even graduation from? I don't remember - but don't let her get to you."
I know I don't like Shade, but this was a bit much.
"Ah-ahn, ma'am but Shade has tried sha," I said, trying to soften the tone against unsuspecting Shade, "It is not easy to get a job here and its even harder to keep proving your worth at the end of each year."
She gave me the dirtiest look ever! "If you like, support her. I am just telling you the truth."
Now, i have seen my team leader having alot of closed door meetings with Shade in the past; meetings filled with loud bursts of laughter and obvious gossiping done in hushed tones.
If she can do this to Shade behind closed doors, what has she said about me too?
Were all the things she said about my work even true or is this all a ploy?
