The office is not a place for tears.

I kept repeating it to myself.

"The office is not a place for tears."

It was hard. I couldn't confront Shade. With the way that I was feeling, I didn't want to get into an argument with her. I also didn't want to create tension in the office. But I was embarrassed.

Even if I gave the excuse to my team leader that Shade had seen and approved the form before it was sent out, what if Shade denied it? What proof did i have? Was this the first impression our biggest client was going to have of me?
